How your search is used

Local answers, with the important caveats
Understanding Thurston County utilities
Who provides utilities at my address in Olympia, Lacey or Tumwater?
It depends on the physical property—not just the city on the mailing address. This finder matches county address records, resolves the location and parcel where available, and checks official municipal, water-system and wastewater records. Each result explains its evidence and gives you a verification step.
Does an Olympia address mean City of Olympia water and sewer?
No. An Olympia mailing address can be outside city limits or within another water district. A municipal boundary is not a water or sewer connection record. Use the property’s location, current bill and provider confirmation.
How can I tell whether a house is on septic or sewer?
Start with the seller’s records and a current wastewater bill. Olympia’s parcel sewer lookup provides connection types within its coverage area. Elsewhere, or when records conflict, search Thurston County septic records by parcel number and ask Environmental Health or the relevant utility. An absent record does not establish either system.
What about new construction, rural property or vacant land?
New addresses may not have reached the county database. Try the parcel number or choose the property on the map. A mapped service area does not establish capacity, a connection, a buildable lot or the cost of extending service. Ask providers for written, parcel-specific confirmation.
Do apartments and condos have individual utility accounts?
Not always. Include the unit number, but confirm which charges are individually metered, master-metered, included in rent or paid through an HOA. Public mapping often describes the building or parcel rather than each unit.
Can this estimate my monthly bills?
No reliable estimate can be made from an address alone. Rates depend on usage, meter size, property type, assessments and billing frequency. Follow the official rate links in the report and ask for recent bills from the property.
