Hi, I’m Kyle Murphy.
I grew up in Olympia, and I’m a licensed Washington broker with Works Real Estate. I built this site to help you understand buying here before you’re asked to make big decisions.
An Olympia perspective
I know this community as a hometown.
I was raised in Olympia and graduated from Olympia High School and the University of Washington. Today, my professional focus is helping buyers and sellers navigate Olympia and Thurston County as a licensed broker with Works Real Estate.
Growing up here gives me a useful starting point. Two homes with similar square footage can mean different maintenance, commutes, and ownership costs. I’ll help you look beyond the listing to understand those differences.
I still check records, ask questions, and look closely at the property. If the answer isn’t clear, I’ll tell you what we need to verify.

How I work
I would rather explain the risk than sell you the house.
You should be able to look at a home, ask the uncomfortable questions, and decide it isn’t right for you. My job is to help you understand what you’re considering, including the things that could make ownership harder or more expensive.
When a question belongs with an inspector, lender, attorney, title professional or contractor, I’ll say so—and help you find the right expertise. Good representation includes knowing the limits of your own role.
